Each blind or shade is $100 up to 8 ft on drywall or brick and $150 on poured concrete; wider ones are priced per bracket — $30 or $50 — never below those amounts. We carry $5 million in liability coverage and send a certificate of insurance to your building on request.

Ladder: Please have a ladder on site that safely reaches the installation area. A $100 minimum service charge applies to all wall hanging work, even when the listed service price is lower.

How much does blinds installation cost in NYC?
Blinds and shades are $100 each up to 8 ft wide on drywall or brick, and $150 each on poured concrete, because concrete needs different drilling and anchors. The price is the same on a wall, in the recess or on a ceiling.
What if the blind or shade is wider than 8 ft?
Then it is priced per mounting bracket: $30 per bracket on drywall or brick, $50 per bracket on poured concrete — never less than $100 or $150. The installer counts the brackets with you on site before starting, so you know the total first.
Inside mount or outside mount — which is better?
Inside mount sits within the window recess for a clean, built-in look, but it needs enough depth and blinds ordered to the exact opening. Outside mount goes on the wall or ceiling above the window: it covers light gaps, suits shallow frames and can make the window look larger.
What if my window recess is too shallow for an inside mount?
Then an outside mount on the wall or the ceiling above the window is usually the better fit — it covers the light gaps and doesn't depend on recess depth. If you haven't ordered yet, send photos of the window and we'll tell you what we'd recommend.
Do you supply the blinds or shades?
We install the blinds and shades you've ordered, and we bring the anchors and fasteners for your wall. If you're unsure about the mount type before ordering, send photos of the window and we'll tell you what we'd recommend.
Can you install blinds into a concrete window header?
Yes. Many newer NYC buildings have poured-concrete headers and ceilings above the windows. We drill with masonry bits and use concrete-rated anchors within the building's rules; concrete pricing is $150 each up to 8 ft.
Can you take down the old blinds?
Yes — mention it in the booking notes so we plan the time for removal before the new hardware goes up.
Can you line up blinds across several windows?
Yes. We set one common height across the windows in a room, so the headrails and shades read as one level line rather than separate pieces.
Does my building need a COI for blinds installation?
Many co-ops and condos want a certificate of insurance for any contractor, however small the job. ArtFixPro carries $5 million in liability coverage and workers' compensation; send the building's requirements when you book and we'll send the COI.
